Tata 1mg - Pill reminder flow
This is a UI/UX case study on addition of Pill reminder feature in customer facing app of Tata 1mg.
01
Project Overview
To design a user-friendly feature or solution that addresses a common challenge in healthcare, showcasing your problem-solving skills, design thinking, and creative sensibilities. The Pill reminder is a feature in Tata 1mg app aimed at simplifying the process of managing medications. By offering an intuitive interface with structured navigation, the tool provides users with a comprehensive solution for taking their medications on time.
02
The Problem
Many people of different ages have a hard time keeping track of their medications, much so doing it on a schedule. This makes it hard for many people of different age groups to keep track of their medications on a daily basis, due to forgetfulness, busy schedule and managing multiple prescriptions and more.
03
Pain Points
Forgetfulness in taking medications on time.
Confusion over dosage or timing for multiple medications.
Difficulty for elderly users in navigating complex apps.
Confusion of having multiple pills before and after meal instructions.
Privacy concerns when logging medical data.
Research
In order to enhance the medication management of the user in an efficient way I had to understand the causes of medical non-adherence and what features can we provide the users to improve their circumstances. For this, I created a set of questionnaire which I shared with my family and friends and conducted a mini analysis based on my assumptions and their answers.
04
Design Process
In the beginning of the project, I conducted research to understand the needs of users like Monica, Harshit and Jai.
This involved researching similar apps, conducting user interviews, and gathering feedback from potential users.
Once the problem was clearly defined, I defined the project scope, objectives and user personas. This helped to provide
direction for the design and development process. I brainstormed and generated a wide range of user flow, features and visual design.
These ideas were then narrowed down to the most viable and practical options. I then began to create wireframes, and screens of the feature in existing app.
The final stage of the design process was to test the app with real users to gather feedback and make any necessary adjustments before the final release. This involved user testing, analyzing data, and making necessary changes to improve the user experience.
